Benefit Summary
The following benefits are available to full-time employees working a regularly-scheduled 30 hours or more, weekly:

The following benefits are available to full and part-time employees:
403(b) Retirement Savings Plan – Security Benefit
- Strictly voluntary – employee contributes 100% to the plan
- Pre-tax only
- Employee may enroll upon hire and anytime thereafter
State Funded Tuition Remission – Providers’ Council for Caring Communities
- Must work an average of 30 hours or more per week and have been employed at least 6 months
- The Brien Center pays for the application fee
- Applies only for Bachelor’s degree in Human Services
- Applies only for employee’s who work in certain state contracts
- Must meet all state requirements
- Employee may apply upon hire and anytime thereafter

- Insurance offered exclusively through The Brien Center on Auto, Home, Renters Insurance and more!
- Up to 18% discount for wireless customers with qualifying carriers
Emergency Financial Assistance
- Must be regularly scheduled a minimum of 7.5 hours, weekly
- Through a partnership with Greylock Federal Credit Union, employees will be able to apply for “Safety Net Loans”. These loans will be used to pay for unexpected financial emergencies
- Subject to approval by Greylock Federal Credit Union
- Loan amounts range between $300 and $3000, offered at the low, unsecured interest rate of 7.99%
- Loan payments are sent directly to your payment account at Greylock from Payroll
- Employee may participate upon hire and anytime thereafter
Travel Time & Mileage
- Paid travel time, plus 45¢ per mile for authorized agency business
- Mileage is tax-free
Combined Leave and Bereavement Pool
- Accrued in each of the 26 pay periods
- New employees will accrue hours from their hire date
- Leave Pool “Cash out” available (some limitations apply)
- For Bereavement Leave, all full-time and part-time employees are eligible for up to 5 consecutive days off with pay for the death of an immediate family member. The following relationships qualify for this leave time:
- Spouse; domestic partner; mother; father; sister; brother; children; grandchildren; grandparents; step and in-law relations
- A person standing in loco parentis
Agency Holidays
All major holidays taken off will be paid from the employee’s earned leave pool. All agency programs, except those that are open 24/7, will be closed on the following major holidays:
- New Years Day; President’s Day; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day
