Denise Galvagni has worked in the Human Service field for over 20 years. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts in 2000. As a non-traditional student, Denise developed a major through the University without Walls – Woman and Social Issues, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She completed her Masters in Social Work at Springfield College in 2006. Since then, Denise has become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Throughout the years, Denise has increased her skill and knowledge base through many professional settings and experiences. A few of her endeavors include developing and managing behavioral services at the Community Corrections Center in Pittsfield, managing several residential and outreach teams at the Mental Health Association, Inc, and co-developing a 24-day substance use program designed to support homeless veterans through the United Veterans of America, Leeds.
Denise has served in progressive clinical and executive roles in a variety of settings over the past 15 years. She is now Division Director of Community Services at the Brien Center.
